About our school

Pelaw Main Public School is located south of Kurri Kurri. The school has a generational history of developing the educational needs of families in the local community. The school has a student population of 232 (160 families); approximately 12% of our students are Aboriginal (29 students). The school also has a full-time School Administration Manager and School Administration Officer. The school implements a range of strategies to maximise success for all students, including Personalised Learning Plans, Individual Education Plans, Behaviour Management Plans, extensive orientation programs and a focus on programs to support students with disabilities.
