Opportunity Class placement provides intellectual stimulation and an educationally enriched environment for academically gifted and talented children in Years 5 and 6 who would otherwise be isolated from a suitable peer group.
Offers for opportunity class placement will be made on the basis of the Opportunity Class Placement Test, school assessment and other evidence of academic merit.
Applications are now being taken for Year 5 entry into an opportunity class for 2014.
All applicants with access to the internet, a printer and their own email address (not the student's) should apply online by going to the following website: www.schools.nsw.edu.au/ocplacement. All other applicants must complete a commercially printed form. These will be available in schools from Monday, 6th May.
